a GROUP OF sport-LOVING friends sought out to create a league after college that would fulfill their competitive and social passions. individually, our careers are made up of: City coordinators, Coaches, Teachers, graphic designers, event planners, and entrepreneurs - but together, our backgrounds helped us create Grand Rapids Rec Sports.
Everyone is welcomed, from first-time players to established athletes. GR Rec Sports leagues are centered around socializing with exercise. we provide a way to make new friends, new memories, satisfy that competitive itch, and we have a helluva good time doing it!
our goal is to create a community where adults can be a kid again (sometimes with a beer in their hand).

we had a vision in 2022 to bring an improved sport and social league to Grand rapids and the surrounding Community. our past experiences with leagues led us to set the highest bar possible and raise the standard for all rec sport leagues.
At Gr Rec Sports we do the little things - we input the scores, we order the jerseys (locally sourced and ready for your first game), and we work with the city to make sure all our venues are exceptionally maintained. In addition, we provide referees, photographers, music, and a relaxed environment that you cant wait to come back to. we go above and beyond for our players because you are why we started it to begin with...
