PLAYOFF RULES

(MONDAY JANUARY 19TH)

• ALL PLAYERs WILL BE SORTED FAIRLY IN THEIR OWN BRACKETS.

  • Top bracket (top 8 players) = The top 4 players will be assigned as 'captains'.

    • A random draft order will be selected for the captains to draft from the remaining players ranked 5th, 6th, 7th & 8th.

    • from there it will be a best-of-3 match single elimination tournament keeping the same partners throughout THE TOURNAMENT. (UP TO 11, WIN BY 2)

THE CHAMPIONSHIP BRACKET WILL determine OUR first ever gr rec sports mixer champions! (WINNERS RECEIVE 4 FREE DR.GRINS COMEDY CLUB TICKETS, 4 FREE GR GOLD TICKETS TO ANY GAME, AND THE COVETED GOLD PICKLEBALL CHAMPIONS BADGE .)

SUBSTITUTES ARE allowed to play the final day but not allowed in the top bracket; if a player has a substitute they will lose their spot and be replaced by the next highest ranked league member. theIR sub will be placed at the top of the social bracket.

• Social Bracket = the remaining 12 players will play in THE SAME mixer format.

  • 6 ROUNDS OF GAMES, ALL ARE first to 11 points (win by 1).

  • 2 courts (8 players on court; 2 PLAYERS with a bye each round)

  • everyone playS 4-5 games.

  • partners change every round. (SEE SCHEDULE)

  • individual wins count toward final standings and final social championship match

    • THE PLAYOFFS ARE A 'CLEAN SLATE', ONLY Wins DURING THE Playoffs will Count.

  • tHE Top-4 players with most wins DURING THE PLAYOFFS WILL advance to the social championship MATCH.

    • TIEBREAKER IS GIVEN TO THE PLAYER RANKED HIGHER IN THE REGULAR SEASONS STANDINGS.

sOCIAL cHAMPIONSHIP MATCH.

• THE TOP TWO RANKED PLAYERS AFTER THE FIRST 5 ROUNDS WILL BE THE two 'captains'.

  • THE HIGHEST RANKED PLAYER WILL SELECT FIRST FROM THE REMAINING PLAYERS.

  • THE 2ND HIGHEST RANKED PLAYER WILL SELECT FROM THE FOLLOWING REMAINING PLAYERS.

    • THE SOCIAL CHAMPIONSHIP WILL CONSIST OF one match to 11 (win by 2), THIS WILL determine OUR first ever gr rec sports mixer social champions! (WINNERS RECEIVE A GREEN RIBBON BADGE)

      • • SUBSTITUTES ARE allowed to play the final day but not allowed in the socail bracket championship; if a player has a substitute and they happen to win enough games to make it to the social championship, they will lose their spot and WILL be replaced by the next official league member with the NEXT most wins.

SOCIAL TOILET BOWL MATCH.

• THE BOTTOM TWO RANKED PLAYERS AFTER THE FIRST 5 ROUNDS WILL BE THE TWO 'CAPTAINS'.

  • THE LOWEST RANKED PLAYER WILL SELECT FIRST FROM THE REMAINING PLAYERS.

  • THE NEXT LOWEST RANKED PLAYER WILL THEN SELECT FROM THE FOLLOWING REMAINING PLAYERS.

    • THE SOCIAL TOILET BOWL MATCH WILL CONSIST OF ONE MATCH TO 11 (WIN BY 2), THIS WILL DETERMINE OUR first ever gr rec sports mixer social TOILET champions! (WINNERS RECEIVE A GREEN RIBBON BADGE; LOSERS RECEIVE THE COVETED GOLDEN TOILET)
